Head sculpt coming along…
The model is done. Time to texture.
Here’s little timelapse of a face sculpt I’m working on. Still a work in progress
OK here’s the finished base mesh for my character with hand scribbled test colors. It’s no where near done, in fact the texture on the model isn’t even the beginning of the real texture. I just painted solid colors to see how they would lay out on the model and if I liked them. I need to sculpt some high-res detail in ZBrush before I get to that part for realsies.
Boom. Finished my latest model and UV map. Time to start painting.
Here’s the final turntable for my Space Marine project. After many hours of work, and many more of procrastinating, it’s done. Make sure you watch it in HD
DONE! Ready to start modeling this character. I really like the sunburst on the face plates for some reason. That was a last minute inspiration. Click through for slightly higher resolution.
Here’s a wallpaper of my Space Marine model, for those who are inclined to like that sort of thing. Click the image for full resolution.
One minor detail on the sword, and then the space marine is finally done.
So, I’m still going to finish my Space Marine model, but I just got involved with a team making a 3D short film in the Halo universe. In fact it’s part 3 of a pretty popular fan-series. I know absolutely nothing about Halo, but the project seems like it’s going to be awesome. I’m doing character modeling and maybe some lip synching/facial animation. I think I even get to voice a character if I want haha
